there was a nice article on Tranmere in Monday's Guardian, and it really underlines the ups and downs of football.... it's a bit early granted, but to whet the appetite for next season here's a snippet :
"In 1987 Rovers escaped (the drop into the Conference) on the last day of the season by beating Exeter. But 20 years ago, for the 3rd year running, they were in the play-offs to get into the Premier League. In Feb 2013 they were top of League 2. With 2 games to go a year ago they were 19th in that division. Their fall has been swift and surprising, all the more so for the arrival of Mark Palios (ex FA chief exec) and his wife Nicola as owners last August.
Jason Koumas and Ian Hume began distinguished careers at Prenton Park last century and have returned in gratitude....."what's been comforting is that Tranmere is recognised as a great club " said Palios "there's a lot of affection, the travelling fans today (550 of them at Plymouth Argyll on Saturday) gave me an experience that makes me determined for next season. The damage wasn't done today, we'll be back"
Tranmere has been called the standard-bearer club of the Wirral (pop 320,000) with a passionate following on the peninsula. Prenton Park's capacity is 16000, the average home attendance has been 5000."
that's an away day and a half, roll on next season

Not to put a dampener on it Rich, we'll probably end up with a midweek game there. 20 - 25% chance!!

Don't bank on it Will, Lincoln had Torquay, Gateshead, Southport & Halifax on Tuesdays. Not much regionalisation there.
