CB, you're right, this IS a football club - I'd never join a dangerous cult, I always practice safe sects.

CB, you're right, this IS a football club - I'd never join a dangerous cult, I always practice safe sects. In deference to our fifth columnist friends, who would prefer BFC more closely resemble Islamic State, I propose a punishment of fifty lashes for anyone indulging in terrible puns. Gives a whole new meaning to the concept of 'whipping the opposition', wouldn't you say Simples?

Lets get the job done PLEASE next Saturday and celebrate with those that will be Bromley legends. Next season will bring whatever it brings but on things for sure going up as Champions gives you 2/3 weeks extra in which to plan and prepare for next season, including an earlier look at playing staff than any team coming up via play offs. For now however win it and celebrate big time with those that deserve it!

We've not even won yet & we're already talking about who isn't good enough for next season? Jeez, let's firstly get promotion, then let's enjoy the fact that we may well spend at least one season at the highest level in the club's history for a few weeks before we start deciding if any of the players & management are good enough for Conf Prem. We're top of the league, with a damn good chance of winning it, let's make the most of this.
What happens next season may well be more than a little dependent on what has happened off the pitch this season. Have the new investors come in to help push on further, or to tidy up what has been developed this year?

I love Bromley FC and will the happiest man come saturday and will celebrate for sure.....however who ever is blaming the pitch for hoofing is clueless. Both of our goals came as a result of playing on the floor. The 2 other chances we had came as a result of playing on the floor. Bradley's goal came as a result of him believing in himself and expressing himself instead of shimmying on the spot and passing sideways he did what hes capable of-on the floor. Bromley will most likely retain him next season but shd push him further back or out left and let him pick up the ball early and run at players. Hoofing it up to someone who is good on the ground is dumb. Moses as well as louis dennis are ballers-we can play around tall CBs much easier than competing in the air-the only thing Eastbourne were effective at.Aeral power-which is the non-league stereotype we will see even more of in Conf National.I do know having played pro myself that decision-making at this level is questionable which, frankly,is why many of them still are playing at our level. Having said that, next season is a chance to play on perhaps the 3G which means the ballers will have an advantage and clumsy players will get exposed as the speed of the ball is increased. No more excuses about bubbly pitches. We need to figure out what type of team we are..when we faced Eastleigh Fc last season they played one-touch footie very well-we still had many chances but football wise were more fragmented. It will be interesting to see what happens.MG will have his biggest test/scrutiny in conf nat!I hope we turn into a footie side and have confidence in our footie ability and not sccumb to non-league stereotypes.Easleigh are i believe close to play-offs in conf nat in 1st season playing decent footie. It can be done.

What happens next season may well be more than a little dependent on what has happened off the pitch this season. Have the new investors come in to help push on further, or to tidy up what has been developed this year? SGC - Again, I appreciate discussions of this nature are taboo for some, but if people want to discuss it why try and shut them down? The close season is only a few weeks long... The Club will already be making future plans, so why shouldn't the supporters also think ahead? We'll all celebrate on Saturday if and when it happens. If official sources are to be believed, the new investors have cleared all the club's debt - and left us with a generous war chest for other things. Make of that what you will! Safado - Bradley will certainly be retained, and I'm very pleased about that. As for your points re: decision making, you said it yourself - this is Conference South, semi-professional football and a lack of consistency, accuracy and confidence (perhaps) in playing possession football are some of the reasons some of our players are at this level. However, your comparison with Eastleigh is a straw man; they had an obvious advantage in attracting high caliber ballers by dint of the inflated wages they were able and willing to pay. The likes of Stuart Fleetwood, etc, don't come cheap.

Is this for real??? We are one win (two draws) away from winning the league and people are still moaning??? Laughable really!! The long balls probably have something to do with the cabbage patch pitch we have, makes it impossible to play passing football! You don't sit top of the league for nothing!!! As for not being good enough to survive in Conf National!! That's like a team winning the championship not being good enough to survive in the premier league ! No real basis to it!!! I can't believe some of this forum - we are on the brink of history at Bromley Fac and people still want to moan and complain! Enjoy it - this may never happen again - enjoy the highs FFS! It's called a forum for a reason... It's a place to exchange opinions, not just the ones you happen to like. No basis to it... Interesting. Is that why the three teams most likely to be relegated from the PL this year are the precise three which went up last season? There's absolutely a basis to it. I was very careful in my original post but fortunately a few people have come out and said openly what I was happy to hint at. If we played like we did in the second half against any Conference side I've seen this season we'd get humiliated. The pitch does have a bearing on that - but not for long, as the surface is being converted to 3G in the very near future, as many of you will know - but nerves were probably more of an issue. Which is entirely understandable; as a Club, we don't yet know how to drag ourselves over the finishing line, as we've never done it before. It's a great testament to their character that the lads were still able to win, in spite of the frankly awful football being played in the second half. I think we're capable of enjoying Saturday (*if* we win!) without any exhortation to do so from yourself or anyone else, mate. (You've obviously never seen me in the bar after any and all matches!) But it would, would it not, be short-sighted in the extreme, to celebrate even something as huge as winning a league without giving at least some thought to the new season which will, after all, start just three months after the final whistle is blown at Gosport Borough? As I never tire of repeating: this is a football club, not a cult. WORD. I entirely sympathise with both of these views. This is the business end of the season, the 3 points are all that matters. Not interested in how we get them, lets just get them. That's not to say we can't always improve and be a bit smarter on how we go about it, but given the position we are in, the level of negativity is a bit baffling. That said, it is important that people speak their mind and feel free to, and this forum (and hopefully the new one) play a key part in that. There's far too many "yes men" out there who don't question anything and constantly dig and jibe at this forum. One parting thought: Maybe a more cohesive, united and questioning group of supporters would have had more of an understanding of what the Readings arrival meant from the outset. Maybe those that slate the forum without ever contributing to it should muse on that.
