So having been one of the few yesterday, first reaction was what an abject capitulation in the second half and therefore yet again fears for our title hopes. Upon reflection, I still know yesterday was an abject capitulation in the second half BUT this is still very much within our hands and our control so . . . . . Next Saturday is simply a MUST win, it will not be an acceptable draw in my opinion, it's a must win if we want to stamp our authority on this league title. Anyone questioning MG is in my humble opinion (1) misguided and (2) less than helpful at this crucial time, is it not MG who's played his part in getting us once again to a title fight and this time firmly in the box seat? The what might be's, who needs what's and what's needed's next year can all come AFTER season end, for now it's all shoulders behind the promotion tugboat and push in one direction as hard as we can, for in reality, that's all us supporters can actually do! Bring on BorehamWood, bring on our destiny and please, keep it in our hands

Thanks Captain Bromley re fortress signs being taken down, Five year plan didn't really go to plan then. It's a shame as I thought the Readings were doing the right things, ie 4g pitches, new bar etc, it looked like they were investing in the club not just the team which was a long term plan. Only silver lining is the conference announced earlier this season that no conference clubs owed tax or national insurance, which I hope is still the case. My hope is that if it was so bad that players couldn't be paid, would that of walked by now. In that case lets come runners up, win the playoffs with crowds of 4000, a premier league club buying Birchall and Brown for a few million, the Ebbsfleet owner taking over, building a new 20,000 stadium and using Ebbsfleet as our feeder team. Oh lastly free season tickets all round, free coaches to away games, tickets paid with supply of beers for all fans on the coaches travelling to matches, the Ravens bar becoming a drink as much as you like for a fiver with as much steak and chips as you can eat.
More likely than what the readings promised !

Unrelated, but those who dismissed the rumours as mere sh*t-stirring will be interested to learn all the Fortress-related signage has been removed from the ground, and we are officially just plain old Hayes Lane once again. Every cloud, etc...
Can someone please tell the official site !

Phew, good to see a few more measured posts, I thought we were about to go into melt down earlier today. Let's keep things in perspective people. It's all about Saturday, of that there is no doubt, but come 5 p.m. I'm expecting things to look a whole lot rosier.

All you can drink for a fiver is a little steep imo.
Add s free programme and extra chips and mayo on the side.

Just got back home from an extended weekend to watch the match- as soon as they got the first you knew a second would come at some point.
I take each game as it comes, but if we can't hold a lead against a mid table team with nothing to play for- then why should we fair better against Boreham Wood?
We appear to be our own worst enemy- and that's very difficult to solve.
Anyway- am really looking forward to Saturday.

My opinion is always about the game. And I think to this day the team plays important matches as you feel the manager: fear. Past seasons as habalan. At best that henceforth show me otherwise.

Wise words indeed, Colo. As Sophcrates would have put it
