No shame in that defeat without May, Cook, Swainey, PJD and Dennis. I thought we'd lose by more today to be honest, there was only so long we could carry on winning with a thread-bare squad. Credit the team for actually making such a game of it. I expect at least a couple of the missing names to be back next week and most of the rest hopefully by month's end. If we win next week, today will just be a distant memory. We're still by far in the best position and I don't think we'll drop many more points from here on in.

...and with Slabs coming into form you'd have to fancy him for a few more goals too. BTW That block by Ugo!!!

Not the greatest of games, slight feeling of deva vu when playing Ebbsfleet/Welling/Dartford at Hayes Lane in recent years! Anyway, here is a link to my photos from todays game: www.edboydenphotos.co.uk/p923604998

i had a bad feeling about this game ,we have had a bit of luck lately except for the injuries & i would have been happy with a point ,mood wasnt improved by lack of Kernel in bar . We didnt play well our passing was poor but cant fault the effort ,deffended brilliantly at times Jack & Ugo made great blocks & we nearly grabbed a point at the end .No need to panic Swainey will be back next week & hope some of other injurys clear up soon .Great crowd today 1,988 with no problems that i could see.On radio kent Jamie Day said "it was a great win for them against a very good side that will hopefuly win the league " is he being nice or does he not want to face us in play offs .

Fair play to the fleet they won fair and square couple of nice strikes we were unlucky when the danster struck the bar with a great effort. Agree with mikey we defended well jack ugo and Paul Rodgers had good games. I still maintain if fleet get into play offs they'll go up I can feel it in my water . And finally well done Jeff and co a really well organised afternoon I'm not a big fan of segregation at non league but it was well stewarded and sorted out . Again sorry to fleet for those idiots who caused the bother at your place but take note for a big game you need to be well organised and not have laissez faire shambolic stewarding. Keep The Faith

A disapointing result on the day but fair play to the squad as a whole, it's been a hard few weeks and they've grabbed some big wins on the road.
Get a few players back and make a real surge for the end goal. It's going to be a fun end to the season!!

I thought the pitch looked in better condition yesterday.

Don't begrudge the fleet the win. Thought they looked up for it and bullied us. Granted we are missing regular starters but a little alarm bell went off for me yesterday. Thought we looked sterile up front and gave the fleet centre halfs as good as a day off. I don't want my play off bad dreams to start again.

Three very difficult games in 7 days with a depleted squad is a big, big ask. I think we acquitted ourselves well yesterday, but looked a little bit tired. It just wasn't to be and as Exiled says, there's no shame in that. I'm sure the massive crowd will have been entertained and will be enticed back. We're still in a healthy position so hopefully with a week to rest and get a few players back we should be raring to go next week at Hemel.. Another big game there.

Sadly we weren't up to it yesterday. It certainly is hard when Ebbsfleet set up like that but we just played so many long balls that were wasted, and they won a lot of aerial duels. Their second goal seemed to take everyone by surprise and we looked uncertain at times. Let's hope this is just a blip. We are still top of the league with two games in hand.

Just a bad day at the office in front of an impressive crowd.Players worked hard can't complain about that but there are alarm bells, lobbing long balls up to the shortest centre forward in the league is never going to work and unfair on Bradley who ran his socks off. Also had a bit of bad luck hitting the bar and how close was that one at the end ? (not sure from where i was). Had that bit of luck at Sutton with 'flappy hands' shows how important that result was now. Looking forward to Hemel now, would probably settle for a draw then wollop the next two home games.

Even though we didnt play well ,agree Brad had no chance with high balls etc we still had chances to get a point . Ebbsfleet looked like a team who will go up in play offs .
