I have just returned from the local pub where Mr Goldberg had his arm round our ex-captain Rob Gilman. Big smiles all round, take it from me he has signed. Briiliant news, if we could get Scarborough back it would be superb.

I will wait for the announcement. No offence but until it's down in black and white i won't get to excited and to be fair,he has hung around the club so much over the last 6 months. As for Scarbs, you will be seeing him in Crays colours next season.

Think the money we are paying him could have been used in other areas ,nothing against Gilman steady player .

If we start with Agu in goal then we need Gilman! Apologies if he played well the 1st games, I wasn't there so can only judge on today, but whilst it was absolutely the right thing to give him pre-season games to see if he's good enough, on the evidence of today, he's not ready yet sadly.
It's hard to describe just how poor we were in the 1st half, maybe someone else who was there can describe it better, but it was just rubbish. However once the subs came on, the change was amazing. Other than Sali who shored up the middle, ive no idea who they were, but they showed some desire to get back into the game & some direction with it. Smith looked like a different player too, his goal was quite something but he caused regular problems. We really should have been 4-2 up but 2 chances just didn't come off & Erith snuck 2 more at the end.
Not unduly worried as it's only preseason & there were some bright spells, & got to bear in mind we did beat gillingham the other day, though i find it hard to see how!

To be honest bt i didn't go today but Agu was at fault for both Cray's goals last week. There 2nd was a mix up in defence that let him in but he still didn't deal with it. By the sounds of what you have said it was the same for him today so a keeper is really needed badly. Sounds like you could have seen some of the academy boys today who i have said are not bad and play with alot of passion and spirit which is basically what got the win against Gillingham.

Could be a good signing if true, but I think a keeper has to be priority now. Shipping four goals to Kent League opposition isn't good.
