Col,
I am lead to believe so. I understand there was a disagreement between JD & HB.

If true, when all is said and done,he did do a great job off the pitch for the club which financially is what is probably gonna help us more for the next few seasons than what comes through the gate.

I struggle a bit to understand why some people dislike HB so much? He turned up & we had a fantastic start to the season. he tried to include things like meet the manager to give fans a chance to ask what/why/when. I can only assume some people have access to certain facts that are not in public domain. Was he the reason for the performance at Maidenhead & things going downhill & MG leaving ? Was he the reason that Finn took the winter off? etc etc
Tactics wise, he didn't seem any worse than MG & on occasions, quicker to change things that weren't working. Once we changed formation to suit out strengths & gave Dunk licence to attack, performaces picked up a lot. The only thing I'd be critical of is some of the press releases where he banged on about play offs still, when the players coming in were clearly not of a standard to match the talk.

He actually came in as assistant to MG in the previous January when we were well set for a play off challenge and it all went the way of the pear as the squad was changed. Then he oversaw a very good pre-season & start along with MG, before taking sole charge and leading us from second to eleventh. I don't blame him entirely, but all the hype and stuff in the press did him no favours.
