Very sad to note that the reserves are to go. The reserves to provide an essential link in the football chain from juniors to the first team. Having a gap there cannot be helpful. And this, even with the possibility of new investors on the scene - not good news.

He said he would be interested in talking to Bromley if they were serious about a promotion challenge Blah Blah. I just hope Neil Smith is not involved as people i know will refuse to watch us if he is involved, think it stems from when he played for us under Osbourne.

Stringer only wanted the job if we had money to back him, we don't have any so that rules him out!

I actually think that the blog was informative with regards to everything else that is changing within the club. The kids are becoming more and more lucrative and it's also a great opportunity to take an earlier look at some talented kids.As for friendlies,if the club does not advertise them how the hell is anyone supposed to know who and when we are playing? I agree it's a shame about the reserves going but at least the academy boys are getting a second year together and as long as they keep progressing then that will be a huge benefit to the club. As for news of the first team and management situation,no still no news and while everyone can speculate till the cows come home as to who it may or may not be one thing is for certain,Jerry is not going to just chuck anyone in after the way last season ended and i for one back him all the way in taking his time to make sure we get the right person. This is going to be a harder year given who is in this league and a mid table finish we will be an achievement. As for Stringer,if all he is interested in is how much money,he can go elsewhere because i do not want anyone coming in and wanting to push the club financially to breaking point.I also think it's great news about the stadium and will be interested to know as to what the ground is going to be called. This club is about more than the first team. It's a club that has and is building further community links which will only benefit the club now and in the future. Why wouldn't anyone want to know about that?

Agreed Dazza, aside from the first team things are looking good at Hayes lane and there is a lot of hard work going on to improve things even more. It is much appreciated and also good to be informed about teh work being done. Jerry has owned BFC for nearly ten yaers now and we've come a long way in every department in that time.

Agree with both previous posts, but for next season I'd take staying up as a good season. Next season looks like the most competitive BSS season since we've been in it.

Yeah a healthy dose of realism is required for the coming season, it's all about survival and we need to get behind whoever represents us on the pitch in 2011/12. Relegation would potentialy damage the club quite a bit.

Thanks everyone. I guess based on this Stringer will not be in charge next season! The blog was good, what the club does off the pitch is important for the future on the pitch. Gutted about the reserves though. I agree with mash after all this, just stay up! A few full time teams in the mix next season along with what seems bigger budgets for some sides as well. I might be wrong on that but every other side seems to be contracting players left right and centre.

The Bromley Times says that the new management team was due to be unveiled yesterday (Friday) and that details of a change in the off-pitch hierachy may also be announced.
So I guess we should be hearing something very shortly......
