Have just seen that Jack King has signed for Woking from Farnborough. My confusion comes from various comments on here with regards to when a player is legally aloud to sign and be announced.Given all the players that have supposedly signed for various clubs,is this legal? Or is this rubbish. Can someone please clear this up.Thanks.

I think the rule Dazza is you can sign an out of contract player on a contract and so announce it. In Jack King's case he could not go full time with Boro, so did not renew his contract and became a free agent. as you will see from the bss forum pretty much every other side have announced contracted players for the new season, or if like Luke I'Anson at Dover he was on a 2 year deal so announced he was staying. After the beginning of July you can announce non contracted players (i think!) OR I might be completely and totaly wrong!!!
