Given the changes that are currently taking place at the club with regards to management, players leaving, possible investors coming in,what would you accept? Last season, yes we got off to a cracking start even though some of those wins were very lucky. Things went pear shaped on and the field.Off the field the club ,due to the weather conditions, became in trouble.MG also left after that (again),HB took over, players came and went as well and the rest of the season became a bad memory. I saw some of the academy side last season and some of them for me are worth a go.If we actually got relegated next season but with a young team that was being built to sustain the club for a while would you accept it? The club while releasing alot of the high earners will no doubt be in a better financial position, the bottom line is we also took one hell of a hit in that cold spell and also the crowds dropped due to lack of form,so not alot of extra income came in.So realistically, are we really going to be that much better off? If it means we start with the kids along with the players that at the moment are staying, and battle through but the club is better off financially, would you accept that situation knowing that is what the club was doing, keeping house in order and a settled team on a realistic budget.

I would take mid table, sustained all day long rather than see the club get in trouble financially. Relegation is something i am not contemplating at the moment to be honest, but we will struggle by the looks of things. Lets see what Jerry has got up his sleeve.

Would i accept getting relegated with a good young team ? NO. First of all if they were good we would not get relegated, secondly if we did get relegated do you really think that the good young players would stay around. What we need is a solid start with a settled happy team, if we get off to a good start or even a mediocure start but are playing entertaining football the crowds will come back. Where we are in the league is not the be all and end all for me, what i like to see is a team playing with a 100% effort which was far from the case in the second half of the season.

Given the state of things at the moment, I'll take staying up. If we get things sorted quick them mid-table and a decent run in the FA Cup to boost finances with a solid hard working squad, then maybe a Kent Cup to sweeten the second half of the season. If you had mixed results up over the season then 2010/11 would have been a fair campaign, but when you start so well and then fall away so badly it felt a lot worse. Bird just failed to turn things around. I want a manager who will be openly realistic about what can be achieved and not just tell the fans what they want to hear by over promising.
