It seems that Alan Devonshire is the new manager of Braintree.Wonder how he will do given it's a step up and also on low budget.

They will no doubt carry on the exciting brand of free flowing football they displayed at Hayes Lane last month. A match made in heven.

Devonshires teams have got more difficult to watch in the last 4 years,we had a thrilling 3-2 win v Hampton at the Lane in our promotion season but since then they have been far from easy on the eye. Probably the best Braintree can get but it will be incredibly hard for them to stay up .

Be interesting to see some confirmation in the next week on who our manager is for the season and then what level of players we look to bring in / ship out
Didn't get to too many games last year and i know some people think we're only a couple of players short of a good squad, but from the form in the last few months, our current squad is a bottom half squad, maybe not relegation scrapping but not at the exciting end of the table.
I see a few other clubs have confirmed signings / squads for the season. Normally the season has just finished and people are on here debating / looking for info - maybe the 2nd half of the season has left everyone needing a break from Bromley for a few weeks at least
