I am a Waltham Forest supporter, so please pardon tyhis intrusion onto you fan site. I am writing a book on how I have followed my non league club, now called Waltham Forest but also known in the past as Leyton/Leyton - Wingate/Leyton pennant I am supplementing my own memories with contributions from former players/managers or supporters I can get in touch with. I am particularly keen to contact our former, hughly successful manager, George Wakeling and was hoping that someone on here might have contact detials for George or indeed any of the other fomer Leyton-Wingate players who followed George to Bromley at the end of the 80's/early 90's The names would be Steve Hamberger/Ian Rawlings/Elijah Bee/Frank Coles/Paul Taylor/Phil Lovell/Bobby Dennington/John O'Hehir If you do not want to give out their detials then please ask them to contact me on charlieward15753@yahoo.co.uk or 01926 889522 I will acknowledge any assistance given in the book Thanks in advance for any help given

Pretty sure insaw George at a home match a few weeks ago so you might be lucky if you contact the club & ask Jeff to pass on your details to him.
I remember John Goodman coming with him but dnot think I twigged so many other players had come from Leyton
Easy to forget what a decent job George did for a number of years with what must have been a low budget compared to many sides at this level

Paul Taylor worked at my school and coached my team when I was in my last year. Really nice guy who spoke very fondly of that Bromley team of the early 90s. We're going back a good ten years now but it might be worth getting in touch to see if he's still there. I'll send you a PM.

I'll pass this on to Frank Coles, I have his details after interviewing him for the fanzine.
