Very pleased that the fixture gods have declared that we play away at Truro on a Saturday in mid-september

Thanking you kindly.

Overall, very pleased. Would have liked to go to Eastbourne on a Saturday and have a day by the sea, but on the plus side we start with Staines and Eastbourne (should be fairly gentle introductions to the season and hopefully six points to give the lads confidence - famous last words) then a real test with Chelmsford; three games and we should have a good idea of how successful the club set-up is for the season. Sutton over Christmas should guarantee decent crowds and atmosphere and (hopefully) six points from the rabble and, if the club is pushing for a play-off spot we have a pretty good end to the season with, Dover apart on the last day, no real horrors for several games before that - banana skins yes, horrors no.
Plus, as already said, Truro away far enough into the season to see if they will still be there and, most importantly, on a Saturday.
Overall, as good a draw for the games as we could hope for, a concentration of good clubs being played around Christmas which will be hard but I for one am happy.
At least until the actual results start coming in...

Just done a check - we have Tonbridge at home on 27 August, a Monday. Seems odd to me, but the Tonbridge site has the same details, so I assume it is right.
Anyone know why? Is there a midweek cup game already booked?
