http://www.kentonline.co.uk/east_kent_me...._parmenter.aspx

"As a way of thanking Whites’ hard-core supporters, Mr Parmenter and his fellow directors have decided to provide free coach travel for this Saturday’s game at Havant".

Jumping the gun a bit, as we have two tough fixtures coming up. but if we can get something from both Truro / Thurrock and go into the Dorchester game with a chance of staying up - this game could turn into one of our biggest games (barring Play-Off wins over Horsham / 'Ricay) since the Slough game over 20 years ago.

Being an "exiled" supporter, my Dorchester travel plans would probably differ to those going from Bromley - though would be great to see as many there as possible - seem to remember some going there in fancy dress a year or two back for our last game of the season.

Dunno about wearing a fancy dress, think all mine are at the cleaners, but will be there if I wake up in time. Just booked the seats, decided to be amazingly stingy and travel to Weymouth with Megbus (on the train, so its Megatrain really) and then the local bus to Dorchester, and decided to go out on the 0530 from Waterloo (well, it was cheaper than the later ones!) so no trouble getting to the ground on time. Need to be on the 18:00 bus from Dorchester to get back home the same day, so sarnies and a flask seem to be in order, plus an inflatable pillow, reading material and an eye-spy book.
Not bad, £17.60 return with reserved seats and booking fee.
Watch out for me, I'll be the one with the red eyes!

Anyone got any ideas on pre-match entertainment in Dorchester?

Pubs, gambling dens, oar 'ouses etc?

Entertainment? In Dorchester? the one we're going to?

Not a hope in Hell!

A nicely re-built Roman Villa, several Iron Age hill forts nearby (Maiden Castle being the biggie), a clock tower and a French Market every August Bank Holiday and that's your lot!

Home of Judge Jeffries and Thomas Hardy, and very proud of their town gardens. Took a look at the town website and under 'attractions' it said 'under development' - says it all.

Think Eastbourne without the beach, one-arm bandits or excitement!

And for those interested, 188 Bet are offerring 2/1 on Bromley winning Saturday, so I've risked my tenner on that!

All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

Has to be one of my favourite films ;D
